We are delivering more traffic wardens for the town and will be trying to target those areas identified by Councillors for real action, based on their conversations with residents. We know that there are real hotspots for parking issues in the town and want to try to address them!
We are looking at a pilot project to target parking on grass verges, as we know the challenges that it causes for residents. We know that it will take time to deal with all of the problem areas in the town, but hopefully the parking pilot will kickstart this work and help us develop improvements where we can.
Jan Update – The Government have given us new powers which we are investigating and will use to combat dangerous and inconsiderate parking around the town. Our traffic warden numbers are up!
