We are spending an increasing amount of money on Special Educational Needs and Disabilities funding as it is clear the national system is broken. It is great the Labour Government are bringing forward a White Paper on this issue as both schools and local authorities are really struggling with the surge in demand and finding ways to best support those children with EHCPs. We are determined to offer the best possible support for children who need our support, but we need to have the budgets to deliver this. We have invested in more specialist provision in Swindon schools and are working to deliver a new £22m special school for the town.
